Loser behavior

Feels like McGregor should get a federal government job sometime soon. It would continue to fit the big-time big loser persona pattern.

Loser behavior
These fists haven't been used meaningfully on a willing opponent in years.

“Loser? I ain't no loser. I was the king of this high school. Hundred friends. Million parties. You guys are losers, not me.” - large child Billy Madison

Conor McGregor is a loser.

He has UFC titles and whatnot–cool–but he’s a massive loser. One can tell because there has never been anything about the man that suggests actual confidence. His brashness and boorishness are a mask, a constant overcompensation for a guy who could have the world in the palm of his hands but cannot seem to enjoy just being Conor McGregor and all that affords. For as much as his “brand” pretends that he doesn’t care what others think, there has always been an undertone of “If I’m more egregious, will you like me?” energy to his sad shtick. That is a loser.

If he’s most identified with MMA, he hasn’t won anything in that sport since 2016. And he’s been a loser at boxing. A loser at whiskey. A loser as an actor. A loser at being interviewed about being an actor. And a loser in court regarding being a sexual predator, something nobody with real self-satisfaction would ever need to be, yet McGregor’s rap sheet in that department shows a pattern.

Prior to a 2017 boxing match that he lost against Floyd Mayweather, McGregor said, "A lot of media seem to be saying I'm against black people. That's absolutely fucking ridiculous. Do they not know I'm half-black? Yeah. I'm half-black from the belly button down." See, it’s a racist joke that he wanted everyone to laugh at to feel good about himself by playing on a stereotype about others. A joke that would get groans on an edgy comedy show between 1998 and 2005. Loser behavior.

This came in response to criticism the Irishman was receiving at the time for telling Mayweather to “Dance for me, boy” during a faceoff promoting their upcoming fight and for referring to African American boxers in a gym scene of Rocky III as “dancing monkeys.” Lazy stuff. Loser-type stuff.

But McGregor fits another pattern besides just being a sex pest who needs to force himself on women instead of just letting his fame take care of that organically. He’s another loser who recently had the run of the White House, too. A guy deemed by a court to have raped a woman hosted by a guy deemed by a court to have sexually abused a woman. “We couldn’t think of a better guest to have with us on St. Patrick’s Day,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said of McGregor’s visit to talk punch-drunk anti-immigration gibberish. If that was a genuine statement from Leavitt, it’s a loser one. A washed racist dude who just lost his ass in court that you know will say outlandish crap to go viral is your best option? Well, game does recognize game.

McGregor has teased a run for public office back in Ireland and probably hasn’t made it official because he’s aware that his home country hates him. But that has been the vibe of 2025 at the highest level in America–overcompensating losers with wildly unpopular ideas who can only feel anything with drugs or posting rage bait that mocks immigrants or cancer survivors or people with disabilities

The most glaring example would be Elon Musk's current pharmaceuticaled Rasputin act. The epitome of “Please, like me” vibes comes from a pathetic definitely-not-a-Nazi who can buy anything in the world except other people’s love and respect that he so desperately craves.

McGregor’s invitation is a product of a White House dedicated to the perception of a bygone masculinity and an aura of perpetual 1988-ness that the President of the TV’s brain is floating in that the administration is desperate to reinforce and for which McGregor is an avatar–a bad person with physical strength–as well as a dedication to “triggering the libs” by needlessly bringing in this particular Irish person on March 17, a known racist and sexist who is fresh off of being found liable for a sex crime. The same confidence McGregor lacks in his own being is a microcosm of the collective psyche of an administration that knows it won an election (with fewer votes than its previous two campaigns) and still cannot enjoy it.

Musk, a bro who is as dumb as his is crafty and is made of raw sourdough, is in a quest to destroy the functions of government as the ultimate epic post for the lulz to impress his cadre of young bros he buys beer for so they’ll hang out with him (and backdoor successful conflicts of interest for his businesses) while paying as many women as possible to host his seed. This country needs a better class of richest man in the world. You don’t see Warren Buffet so desperate for your attention. Even the horrible Jeff Bezos is content with tossing the administration a few bones so he can be left alone to jaunt around with his trophy gal doing megarich guy stuff like ruining a newspaper. Musk has more money than this future 1,488 great-grandchildren will ever be able to spend, and it cannot fill the hole in his soul. Loser behavior, man.

And these overcompensating men getting their kicks in the White House aren’t even going the harmful Tony Soprano “What ever happened to Gary Cooper?” route of bottling up their screaming insecurities and belittling acknowledging one’s own vulnerability.

That sort of philosophy is definitely what a McGregor, a Musk, and a POTVS would claim they embody, without irony, but they so loudly show otherwise, and it’s somehow worse. It’s a bunch of dudes who get off on turning the various bigotry dials while looking for audience approval and projecting a faux-machoness while kicking the vulnerable and unwittingly advertising themselves as undergrad Intro to Psych course examples. All while making themselves more disliked in the process, doing things people actually do not support.

McGregor is just another in a parade of boys wearing man masks marching absurdly through a  White House that flaunts a cult of personality advertised as real manhood while insecurely making sure you really know that they are truly, very much always totally winning. The Defense Secretary who was moved out of prior leadership positions because of incompetence and drunkenness and being too handsy, an attorney general nominee who paid underage teens girls on Venmo for coked-up sex parties, and the other cartoon goon cast

Feels like McGregor should get a federal government job sometime soon. It would continue to fit the big-time big loser persona pattern.
